Eleanar Tomlin

February 12, 1925 – November 27, 2013

 

On Wednesday November 27th Mrs. Eleanar Caroline Tomlin of Oliver passed away at the South Okanagan General  Hospital at the age of 88 years.

She was predeceased by her  parents George and Karoline Walton; her husband Allan in 1977 (whom she married  in 1947); son Harvey in 2013 and brother Torlieve Rudi in Norway.

Eleanor will be fondly remembered  by her close friend Ralf Riley; daughter Noreen Tomlin of Campbell River , son  Kevin (Corinne) of Oliver, and daughter Karen (Dan) Skaros of Oliver;  grandchildren Bill, Danielle, Kyla, Jarodd, Josh, Rebecca (Roger) and Ryan  (Jovia); great-grandchildren Bailey, Riley, Justice, Gabrielle, Tucker and  Hayley; sister Anna and brother Magna of Norway, lifelong friend Emily McCrae as  well as many extended family and friends.

Over the years Eleanar worked at  the Haynes Packinghouse but she was able to fulfill working her dream job for  the last fifteen years of her working life as a care aide at Sunnybank until  retirement. She also enjoyed gardening and spending time with her grandchildren  and great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held  at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday December 4, 2013 at St. Edwards, Anglican Church.
