Icy roads contributed to several car accidents in the South Okanagan Similkameen area Friday morning.

Keremeos RCMP (Traffic Division) advise they were called to five accidents including one rollover.

Three were on Highway 3 between Keremeos and Hedley and two were on Highway 3a between Keremeos and Yellow Lake.

They all involved single vehicles and many of the injuries sustained were minor.

A 96-year-old female passenger in the rollover, just west of Keremeos.
Two semi trailer trucks also slid off the road in the Princeton area. Highway 3 was shut down for several hours.

Conditions including sleet and black ice contributed to vehicles experiencing problems.
