Orleen Krebs

April 30, 1940 – November 22, 2013

 

Announcement of the passing of Orleen Anna May Krebs (nee Loss) on Friday, 22nd November 2013 at age 73.

She will be greatly missed by her devoted husband of 54 years, George, daughter and son-in-law Heidi and Terry McLachlan, daughter Lisa Krebs, son and daughter-in-law Bill and Johanna Krebs, grandchildren David, Darnell, Torin, Sasha and Nathan, sister and brother-in-law Aileen and George Hall and family, and sister-in-law Rose Gutting and family.

Orleen grew up and lived in Maple Ridge for most of her life.  George and Orleen moved to Oliver to enjoy their retirement years together.  During the 20 plus years she lived in Oliver, she volunteered at both Kiwanis and Sunnybank Center.  She also participated in a number of activities including square-dancing and line-dancing.

Orleen was a caring, joyful person who lived a very full life.  She was loved and respected by many friends.  Orleen was an amazing Grandmother and spent many hours with her grandchildren playing games, attending their events and just being a loving Nana.

Orleen spent her last months at Sunnybank Center.  The family want to extend their sincerest ‘thank you’ to the staff and nurses at Sunnybank.  They treated Orleen and her family with great compassion and kindness, for which the family is extremely grateful.

There will be no service at this time, but a family celebration of life will be planned for spring 2014.
