The Kiwanis Club of Oliver is once again appealing to the community – businesses, clubs and individuals – for support of the Share the Spirit program.  In 2012 – Thirty nine sponsors provided Christmas Cheer for 47 families.  We require more sponsors.

Since 2004 the program has provided Christmas cheer to needy families with children.  Applications are provided to the Kiwanis program coordinators by the Ministry of Children & Family Development, Desert Sun Counselling and the Boys and Girls Club of Oliver.  Sponsors – businesses, clubs or individuals- are then paired with the family.

The sponsor receives a form with details of the family composition, ages and wish lists.  The sponsors then purchases and packages items for the clients.  All boxes are brought to a central location for delivery the week before Christmas.  This year the drop location is Interior Savings Credit Union.
