The Lower Similkameen Indian Band has elected a new chief. Keith Crow was sworn in earlier this month.
Crow defeated incumbent chief Rob Edwards by a margin of 110 – 51. Edwards had served two 2 year terms.
One hundred and sixty-two band members turned out to vote, considered to be a strong turnout.
Crow sat on council previously 2005 to 2007. He has been involved in housing with the band and has also served as an accountant.
