Penmar Community Arts Society

The Penmar Community Arts Society’s goals is set to restore and revitalize the historic community theatre which will provide a unique entertainment focal point for

Penticton and RDOS residents.

The Penmar closed its doors in 2012 when the new Landmark Cinemas complex opened.

The Penmar opened in the 1950s and had four auditoriums with about 700 seats.
The first phase of reconstruction will be amalgamating the two larger auditoriums into a single large theatre which will result in a 350-seat theatre. That could expand later to a larger seating of 650.

Construction will start in December and hopefully open in April of 2014.
