Between November 09, 2013 and November 14 2013, the Oliver Detachment and members of the South Okanagan Detachment Regional General Investigation Unit conducted a fairly intense four day investigation into two attempted theft from vehicles, the theft of a television from an Oliver motel and the Break Enter and Theft of a large amount of money from a residence just North of Oliver. This investigation culminated in the arrest of a 45 year old male and short term Oliver resident by the name of Jessy MICHAUD. This accused person has a lengthy criminal record which spans more than 25 years and it is anticipated that if Jessy MICHAUD had not been arrested the community of Oliver would have experienced many more criminal acts consistent with those for which this person is currently charged.
MICHAUD will appear in Provincial Court this week to deal with a 6 Count Information which represents charges of:
2 counts Attempted Theft a Motor Vehicle Under $5,000
2 counts Possession of Break In Instruments
Possession of Stolen Property Under $5,000
and Break Enter and Theft (Dwelling House)
