SOSS came in 9th and won the Consolation Trophy at Provincial Championships in West Vancouver. The field of competing schools was VERY tight this year, and our team could have placed higher had we played our very best, or lower had we not held things together! The girls had a very tight game 1-0 with Shawnigan Lake, who went on to win the tournament. Overall, the girls played well, had some amazing on-field and off-field experiences, and have much to be proud of. SOSS field hockey would really like to thank the Oliver Kiwanis Club for contributing to our trip.
After our last game of the season, Kenzie Ekelund says goodbye to graduating SOSS field hockey player Hanna Ellis. Hanna and her grade 12 teammates Manisha Toor, Carmen Abellan, Aleena McLean, Jessica Monteiro, Brooke Jesus, Netu Dhaliwal and Jasmin McCarthy were presented with the traditional Grade 12 souvenir balls and one-of-a kind keepsakes crafted by their younger teammates. The team will sure miss these girls!
