This car driving southbound on Highway 97 at about 2:15pm Saturday – crossed the centre line and crashed into an orchard colliding with a group of trees. Much damage on the front end.

Area of collision north of Road 20 in the 4100 Block Highway 97.

A female witness travelling towards Oliver said the car above veered into the northbound lane and almost collided with her car. She said she talked to the male driver of the damaged car without getting a clear answer as to what happened. She said the damaged car seemed to jerk into her lane on a corner.

Police are investigating. The Oliver Fire Department responded but was not needed.
