(Picture above is Road 2 to Panorama Cresc. Some confusion as to exact location of incident.)
The complainant represented that he noticed the dog when it began following him. The male states that he turned and told the dog to go home and that the dog continued to bark and follow him. The male then gestured with his right arm for the dog to go and the dog responded by jumping up biting his arm and pulling him forward. The dog then let go and bit the complainant on the right side of his face. The resulting injuries consisted of 9 stitches to his arm and 8 to his face. The male states that he felt that he did nothing to antagonize the dog and was in fact scared of it. The dog is described as a medium size with short black fur, yellow paws, droopy ears and possibly yellow on the head area. Oliver Bylaw was notified and has requested that the victim of the dog bite attend the Town office to make a report with them.
Oliver RCMP will provide support for the Oliver Bylaw as or if required. Any requests for further information should be directed to the Town of Oliver.
