On October 31, 2013 an Oliver resident reported that at some point between October 30 and October 31 some unknown person(s) stole approximately 200 L of diesel fuel from his spare fuel tank. The truck had been parked on Station Street above Lions Park and considering the volume of fuel that was stolen and the clean nature of the theft it is felt this was targeted by persons prepared to steal* the fuel.
Although Halloween night created very few complaints, on duty members did seize fireworks as a result of six separate police contacts. No charges were laid as a result of these seizures.
