On October 30th, at approximately 10:00 pm, Police were called to a single vehicle collision 15 km’s East of Osoyoos. The driver of the car was going too fast for the sharp corner and drove off the road up an embankment hitting a tree. The driver was wearing his seatbelt and the air bag was deployed. The driver of the car was taken to Oliver hospital by ambulance and sustained a minor fracture to his left shoulder and was released.
On October 31st at approximately 8:00 am, RCMP responded to 2 motor vehicle collisions on Hwy 3 near Wagon Wheel Rd. The first accident occurred when a Dodge Caravan travelling west bound came around a sharp corner and fish tailed on the icy road into an oncoming Chevy truck. One occupant was transported to SOGH by BC Ambulance with pain in her left leg and another occupant had a sore back from the collision. The second accident happened when Toyota Camry travelling west bound came around the corner losing control on the icy road and ended up in the ditch. The Camry sustained no damage and the driver was not injured.
On November 2nd, at approximately 12:38 am, an Osoyoos RCMP Officer on patrol conducted a traffic stop of a 2008 Chevrolet Silverado truck. The driver displayed signs of impairment by alcohol and was required to provide a breath samples for analysis which resulted in a driving prohibition. The 20 year old man from Osoyoos received a 3-day Immediate Roadside Prohibition and the vehicle he had borrowed was impounded for 3 days.
On November 2nd, at approximately 6:00 pm, the Osoyoos RCMP were called to a single vehicle accident on Highway 3 approximately 1 km west of Courtney Brown Rd, Bridesville. A 2000 Buick Century was found over the Southside embankment. The 3 occupants of the vehicle had departed the scene before Police arrived.
