First off, koodo’s to the town of Oliver for having such beautiful bike trails and green places for visitors to walk our dogs. I have spent the last 6 weeks in Oliver helping my parents and have walked my little dog every day more than once. There are so many beautiful places to walk where it’s quiet and away from traffic. We enjoyed every one of our walks.
BUT – on our walks I couldn’t fail to see the many piles of poop that other people have failed to pick up, or even worse, when they do go to the effort to pick it up in their little baggy, they would simply then throw it in the bushes! Shame on them! Now something that was able to decompose over time is rapped in plastic and will take that much longer to go away.
Come on dog lovers in Oliver – let’s keep this town beautiful!
After reading about the playground situation in OK Falls, I am appalled at the way people are dealing with their little furry friends waste. If you own a pet then please be a responsible pet owner so those that don’t have a pet never get a chance to complain about’ those darn lazy dirty dog owners’!
I think possibility having a few more garbage cans around the area would encourage people disposing of their waste a little more. Poop is not something that is fun to carry around for miles, but when I know that there is a place to get rid of it properly then I don’t mind. I also think it might encourage the rest of the garbage that is laying about to be place where it belongs. Maybe that is something the town might consider to help the rest of us keep this beautiful town looking beautiful.
