The executive director/curator of the Osoyoos Museum has handed in his resignation citing health reasons.
Kenneth Favrholdt told Museum Board of Directors his family situation led to a decision to resign effective December 31.
Favrholdt led the development of several new exhibits during his time in Osoyoos, including the Fur Trade exhibit in 2011 celebrating the anniversary of the first Europeans in this area. He also started an online exhibit relating to the anniversary of the first Customs operation at the Port of Osoyoos and his most recent project was the War of 1812 exhibit, which has been displayed at various museums around the province.
Favrholdt’s last official day on the job will be December 9. A replacement will be sought in the new year.
