The first ever collection of Bikes for Humanity netted some fortunate West African villagers 34 bikes last weekend. Seen here is local coordinator Dale Dodge, on the right, with Kelowna’s Bikes for Humanity representative, Keith Germaine, and some of the 34 bicycles on pick up day. The Tickle Trunk from Kelowna donated their truck and driver to come down and pick the bikes up. Thanks to all those who donated their ‘old friends’ to this worthy cause. The oldest bicycle was from the 1950’s, the most unique was the foldable Raleigh from 1976, and the most valuable was a Myata worth close to $1000 brand new.
