Cathy Gale looks confident in the hack as she prepares to throw for the Eastlink team. She has not curled for a while but insists it is just like riding a bike.

The Corporate Curling League started their season this week with 9 teams from among the businesses and organizations of Oliver.  The Super Valu team, pictured above, is bound and determined to take the trophy away from Parks and Rec, last years’ winners.   Al Tenborg of Super Vallu has assembled a team with more skips than throwers, and insists that too many cooks will not spoil the broth.  On the other hand, NKMip golf club has all throwers and no skips, so if any retired skips out there want to have fun on a Monday night, get hold of Dale Dodge and he will sign you up.
