Ice – no needles

That’s right.  This coming Saturday, October 19th, you can go to a free clinic without fear of getting a shot, although you will be able to take a few shots.  The Oliver Curling Club is offering a free curling clinic at the Eastlink Curling Centre.  From 12:00 noon to 4:00 p.m., experienced curlers will be on hand to help novices (and those who have never curled) learn some of the finer points of the game.  Those of you with curling experience may want to attend and sharpen some of those rusty skills.  This year, limited instruction will also be given in stick delivery for those whose knees, hips, backs, etc. make it difficult to get down and back up again.

The 2013/2014 curling season is fully underway.  Our club is doing well and registration is up from last year.  There is always room for more, however.  Check out the website http://www.olivercurlingclub.org for details and registration forms.
