Approximately 100 residents packed the Okanagan Falls Seniors Centre for a Town Hall style discussion on issues in the community.
First on the agenda (and forefront on most folks minds) was the issue of incorporating the town. It didn’t take too long for the discussion to take a somewhat heated tone, as one resident questioned Area D director Tom Siddon on consistently asking residents to return to the discussion table on this topic. “You’ve already been told several times by this community ‘no’ over the years,” she said to a round of applause.
A show of hands in the audience, however, indicated that there was a strong wish to examine the incorporation of the town. Other items on the agenda included establishing a visioning exercise for the town centre area, as well as a sewer extension to Kaleden and Skaha Estates.
