On October 2nd, 2013 a resident at Desert Mirage woke to find his White 2002 Ford Explorer, BC License 740-WWA had been stolen overnight. The SUV had been parked unlocked in the vacant lot area at the front of the complex and may have had the keys in it. The SUV has not been found as yet.
On October 5th, at 3:42 am, a resident on the 6400 block of Maple Drive called the Police to report that somebody had just thrown rocks through 2 windows in the house and a rock had also damaged a car parked there. A male suspect wearing a hooded sweat shirt with light and dark horizontal stripes was seen running away towards Jackpine Lane.
Police received a second report after the fact from a resident on the 8500 block of 74th Ave, who also had rocks thrown through the front and back windows of their house sometime around 3:00 am as well. These 2 incidents are undoubtedly connected.
