2nd Annual Garlic Festival at Hester Creek

Today marks the 2nd annual Garlic Festival at Hester Creek Estate Winery with local, garlic growers, artisan crafters, food carts and live entertainment. This family friendly festival will take place on the lower lawn in front of the winery with admission by donation to the Oliver Elementary School Farm to Table lunch program. This program supplies lunch to the school twice a week for most of the year, even if finances are a struggle.

Hester Creek made a donation of $11,000 for the 2012/2013 school year and will continue with another donation of $11 thousand for the 2013/2014 year.

Last year’s Garlic Festival saw over 1200 visitors and collected an additional $2200 for the program. The Garlic Festival for 2013 is set for this Saturday, October the 5th and will run from 11-4. For more details call the winery directly at 250-498-4435.
