A new season is about to begin at the Eastlink Curling Centre. If you missed Adult Registration last week, it is not too late.  There will be people at the Curling Centre for Junior registration next Tuesday, October 8th at 7 pm, and you can register then. Alternatively, open ice will be available from the 8th to the 11th  of October at 7 pm and people can come to the Centre, throw a few rocks, and register then.  Regular league play begins right after Thanksgiving, on Tuesday, October 15th starting with the evening Lady’s league.  It will be a good time to work off some of that Thanksgiving turkey.

A free curling clinic will be held on Saturday, October 19th.  It will be a Drop In format, with coaches and helpers available from 12 – 4 pm.  This will give experienced curlers a chance to brush up on their skills and will give novice curlers an insight into the game.  If you want to try Stick Curling, there will be people there to help with that as well.

Eastlink Curling Centre welcomes new curlers.  Retired folks and stay at home spouses like the day league, with games every Monday and Wednesday morning through the season.  Evening leagues are lady’s, men’s, mixed, corporate and the ever popular Friday fun night.  The latter is for people who value the social aspects of curling as much as the game itself.  For more information and for registration forms, please check out the website, www.olivercurlingclub.org
