School administration, presenters, parents, all attended the Parent Advisory Council Thursday in the new SOSS library.

Two students: Kelsey Launier and Jon Rothe asked for funds for an electronic piano for the music room and outlined how other instruments and equipment are needed badly. A list will be requested from the Music Department before a decision is made on what cash outlay is made by PAC.
Steve Podmorrow, head of Athletics asked for financial support for heart rate monitors to compliment those previously purchased for participants in gym classes.
New uniforms for music students also discussed but tabled until a material sample can be obtained from a supplier.
Principal Marcus Toneatto told parents that staff are fully engaged in getting all programs up and running. Teachers had already completed the first “inquiry time” session defining connections to made between staff and students for improved learning and security.
