Sihota leaves as president of BC NDP,
The shake up continues within the ranks of BC’s New Democrats with the party’s president announcing he’s stepping down. Moe Sihota says he will leave the post when his term ends this November.
His announcement comes days after party leader Adrian Dix announced he is quitting.
Sihota says it is time for the next chapter in the party’s history and that means a new generation of leadership.
The former provincial cabinet minister was first elected to the party’s presidency in 2009.
The New Democrats lost badly in May’s provincial election despite the fact that into the campaign most polls suggested they would win handily.
