Here is the August Real Estate Update for Oliver:
The number of residential sales year to date for the entire South Okanagan Real Estate Board region (Summerland to Osoyoos, Rock Creek to Princeton) was virtually unchanged from last year with just a 0.3% increase. Oliver’s home sales so far this year are down 26.1% while sales in Osoyoos are up 11.8% over last year. The average sale price of a single family home across the Board area year to date in 2013 is $365,902.
In Oliver, there were 10 single family sales in August bringing the total year to date number to 65. This compares to 13 sales in August 2012 and a year to date total for 2012 of 81 sales. The average sale price of a single family home in August was $322,056. At the end of August there were 153 single family homes listed through the MLS compared to 161 at the same date last year.
No mobile homes sold in August of this year compared to 1 in August of 2012. Year to date there have been 10 mobile home sales compared to 11 last year. There was just 1 condo/townhome sale in August of this year bringing the year to date number of sales for these types of properties to 10, with a current listing inventory of 23.
