A question this week from a local resident: Do I have to notify the Land Registry in Kamloops about my civic address change?
The answer is no. Your name on title and the legal description of your property does not change.
If you are corresponding with the Land Titles Branch – then you should notify them of your new civic address to ensure proper communication.
“Land Title Office does not include civic addresses in its registry. They only register PID (Parcel Identifier Number) and legal descriptions, which did not change as result of civic address changes.
Land owners may, if they wish, amend their mailing addresses at Land Titles Office, but this does not affect the validity of their property ownership or change their legal description.”
