On September 7th –  Oliver RCMP attended the Oliver 7-11, located at 6082 Main Street in response to a report by a store employee that an unidentified male had placed the nozzle of one of the fuel pumps in a person mouth, and attempted to activate the pump.

Police attendance resulted in contact with the youth victim and subsequently arrested a youth suspect.

Injuries to the victim were minor and no fuel was ingested thanks to the pumps auto shut off mechanism.  Alcohol was a significant  factor in this event and at least one male youth will face charges in Youth Court. Oliver Detachment File # 2104 2013-4440 refers.
