On September 07, 2013 Oliver Detachment members attended to the 1400 block of Fairview Road as a result of an assist to the Oliver Fire Department. Members confirmed that the ‘party’ was on Crown land and that no noise bylaws were in affect. The Fire Department confirmed that there were no fire restrictions in place so the fire was not extinguished.
Subsequent contact with area residents (September 11, 2013) have confirmed that this area is becoming a favorite party spot for local youth. Residents have agreed to call the police when the ‘party’ is forming and the Oliver Detachment (resources permitting) will look to enforce Provincial Liquor Act statutes as appropriate. The primary concern here is for the safety of our youth and for the traveling public in the event that drinking and driving infractions are occurring. Oliver Detachment File # 2104 2013-4451 refers

On September 5th 2013 at ~ 22:13 Hours Oliver Fire services reported that they had attended a fire on the Dyke road, off of Thorpe Rd., across from the green houses. Fire services stated that the fire had been put out by campers prior to their attendance, but as there were partially burnt, gas soaked rags they felt it was deliberate.
