Hello Town of Oliver. Well this is certainly a different venue for me. My name is Joanne Bray, I am married to Harry Bray, between us we have 7 children, 6 grandchildren and 3 greatgrand children, (I’m really not that old) am I?

I was born in Toronto, I have been a farmer, aluminum siding installer, in the nursing profession. owned a renovation business and a Motel restaurant. I moved to Oliver 8 years ago and since then I have worked with the public and for the public.

I have never been in the political ring, but we all have to start somewhere. I have been President of the Oliver Elks Lodge #267 for the past two years, as well as now President of the Oliver Lions Club, I am a career volunteer. I also work for the BC grapegrowers Assoc. in the starling program.

There are a few things I would like to see happen in our town, like more programs and help for our children, help our seniors stay at home, accomodation, we desperatly need a hotel, and some type of industry to keep our young families in Oliver instead of them moving away to work.

If elected I will work my hardest with the Mayor and Council to help our children, seniors and get those empty stores in town filled up. Thank you and have a great day.
