“Cody O’Conner had a bad period on Tuesday when he developed an infection in his lungs and was put on maximum life support. It was like the worst nightmare I have ever had. It was touch and go for quite awhile. They were finally able to take him off the machines except for the dialysis unit that’s are assisting his kidneys on Friday”
David Pilloud, biological father who told ODN
“I have been there quite a bit since last Wednesday night when Cody’s mother called to let me know what happened. He has more treatment coming with plastic surgery to go back to working on his burns as they could not work on those the last couple of days due to his condition which is starting to do better now.
Hopefully Cody will be able to finally get upstairs to the children’s hospital burn ward next week if he continues with the progress he has made …”
Pilloud lives in the Fraser Valley and says Cody’s stay at BC Children’s has been in the PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit) – not the burn unit.
