We reported to you in August that a home on Earle Crescent had been the location of a pipe bomb explosion.
Sunday Morning:
Today we report that same home was the target of a chemical attack with one person treated by EMS crews due to a spray from a canister.
Fire, police and ambulance were dispatched after 911 received a call from a person stating that they were being subjected to fumes that made breathing difficult with a burning sensation on their skin.
The back door of the home on Earle Crescent had been opened in the darkness and something had been discharged filling the house with noxious fumes. The resident of the home fled to a neighbour next door and called 911 for help.
Police found a canister of bear spray between two houses and interviewed several neighbours. Fireman on the scene indicated the fumes were strong and affected the throat.
The pipe bomb incident occurred on Sunday August 11th – four weeks later on Sunday September 8 – a 2nd incident.
It is clear that someone is not happy with a resident of the house in question and police are taking this incident very seriously. The investigation will continue into both incidents.
