Dew
A few mornings ago I walked out onto our lawn and noticed that a heavy dew had settled onto the grass. It had been a cool, still night in contrast to the hot, sunny day. Those are the conditions that cause evaporation during the day and condensation during the night. Coolness and relative calm in the air during the dark night after a hot day will bring down the dew.
It made me think of some cold, dark ‘nights’ I experienced in life. I didn’t like those times, but just like plants that benefit from the dew I needed to be still and let the circumstances teach me something. We often learn the most from the dark and troubled times of life. Then we also appreciate the sunny times more. I like the sunny side.
