A motion passed at the last meeting of the Regional District Board on subsidizing the cost of maintenance of the Penticton Channel trail will not be re-considered.

Area C Director Allan Patton says to reconsider a motion someone in the affirmative must bring it back or the Chairman can. Neither was done Thursday.

There was a debate on letters from the Town of Oliver and Town of Osoyoos but nothing came of it says Patton.

Director Patton had a motion on the agenda for yesterday’s meeting requesting a different funding formula for all trails in the district but that got no where with only one vote in favour.

Patton said: “And the positive vote was not even me”.

Directors may get another kick at the can this fall during debate on budget matters.
