Penticton-OK Falls Bus – Area D
Recommendation: Now that public info sessions have been held – RDOS should proceed with this service at a cost of $77,600 (before revenue is considered) and would be added to the 2014 Area D Budget. Electoral assent will be needed to start this service.
The pubic sessions determined that feelings were mixed as to the route of the bus and residents unaware of other “on call” services – like the Osoyoos medi-tran.
It was pointed out previously that BC Transit wants this scheduled bus run and the RDOS can build on improving all routes but if denied – might be the last kick at the can. This item to be watched closely.
