The South Okanagan Chamber of Commerce President, Holly Plante and CEO, Bonnie Dancey, along with the Chamber’s Transportation Chair, Robert Linttell are off to China in October to tour the country and take part in one on one business meetings with Chinese business people looking for Canadian imports and investments.
Fields of interest for the business community include Banking & Finance, Life Insurance, Foreign Wine Import in South China and in Beijing include Building Materials Supply, E-commerce Development, Real Estate for both home and business, and New Energy Communication.
Robert Linttell will meet one on one with businesses interested in investing in the Real Estate market and Holly will meet with wine importers with the goal of selling our premium wines to the Chinese markets.
The Chamber has been offered an opportunity to work with a local travel agent to develop tours to China and will also be looking for tour companies who plan tours for the Chinese. The SOCC hopes to convince them that the South Okanagan is a unique tourism market within a 4 hour driving distance from Vancouver and with more International flights going to Kelowna every year.
