Mayor Ron Hovanes told council and the public Monday he is fed up with the maintenance of provincial highways inside the Municipality.
Pot hole above in question near the Chevron station on Highway 97 – which is to be maintained by Argo Road Maintenance.
Hovanes says the Public Works department has spoken to Argo about the Main Street area in Oliver with promises given but no action.
The Mayor told council he sees many highway projects to speed up the traffic but road maintenance locally is not good and he plans to take his complaint to the Highways Minister at his next opportunity in September at the Union of BC Municipalities convention.
