Calls began coming in after 5pm of a blaze on grass land west of Hwy 3 (Richter Pass)
near Spotted Lake

This is fire in the jurisdiction of Ministry of Forests and not attended by local fire departments.

Fire Information officer Michaela Swan says several air tankers have been called out along with two attack crews.

It is believed to be two hectares in size.

There is no evacuation alert/order as of yet.

Drive BC reports no disruption in highway traffic.
