I have a personal stake in this – I swim once or twice or more times a day in the summer in Tuc-el-nuit Lake and it has never looked better.
Parks Manager Bob Grant spent the money to purchase two laser lights that disturb the birds that normally poop and molt on the lake in summer.
This is a public beach and swimming area. Other lakes have the volume and flow to handle that product better. Tuc-el-nuit is spring fed and has little capacity to get rid of things dropped in the night.
A great idea Bob – very few feathers or poop in the water and on the shore rocks in 2013.
