The 26th annual BC Seniors Games will be held in Kamloops from August 20th to 24th. The Games are open to BC residents 55 years and older. Proving that you are never too old to participate there will be at least five participants in their 90’s. They include two aged 94 in track and field and a 91 year old golfer from Osoyoos. In all there will be 24 events this year with over 3700 participants. Zone 5 (Okanagan-Similkameen) will have approximately 465 participants competing in 21 different events.
The South Okanagan will be well represented with 9 from Okanagan Falls participating in: Darts, Soccer and Slopitch. Oliver will have 23 participants in: Golf, Dragon Boat, Badminton, Slopitch, Track and Field, Five Pin Bowling, Tennis and Archery. Osoyoos will have 28 participants in: Dragon Boat, Golf, Slopitch, Five Pin Bowling and Archery.
