This Sunday evening (Aug 11) is the Annual Persied Event at White Lake Radio Observatory.

In the past there has been as many as 1000 people in attendance. This year, given clear sky with no cloud, should be good viewing for the meteors as there is no moon to affect seeing.

Arrive any time after 7:30 pm and bring a lawn chair or blanket so as to enjoy the free show. At the observatory, there will be several talks on astronomy and the local astronomers will have telescopes available for viewing the night sky.
