After 50 years – no more driving, no more water trucks and time for family and camping.
That’s the word from Joe Marsel – even though son Andy will continue to run the company but no more water trucks for forest fires.
Both Marilyn and Joe look forward to more summer camping now that the “brakes” have been put on and the government told – “Joe’s not here”.
The story behind the story – there is a serious lack of qualified Class 1 truck drivers so Joe had difficulty getting away and being assured someone could keep the water truck business going. Marsel says it takes a lot of money and time to get trained and ticketed and less and less are interested in the industry from his perspective.
