hart2013 Penticton Municipal By-Election

A by-election date has been scheduled for Sept. 7, 2013 for the position of mayor and one councillor.

Candidates: The following individuals have been nominated for the 2013 by-election, with mayoral candidates listed first and councillor candidates listed second, arranged alphabetically:

  • Henningson, Brian – Mayor
  • Litke, Garry – Mayor
  • Powell, Vic – Mayor
  • Andrews, Kevin – Councillor
  • Buchanan, Patrick – Councillor
  • Kelsey, Lynn – Councillor
  • Martin, Andre – Councillor
  • Robinson, Katie – Councillor

Both former Mayor Mike Pierce and former Oliver Mayor Hart Buckendahl had indicated an interest but were no shows this time around.

Litke is expected to win handily. The race to fill his seat is competitive between Andrews, Martin and Robinson.
