Residents in 7 homes in the Yellow Brick Road alerted to evacuate

Residents 5 homes down the hill towards Willowbrook on the White Lake/Fairview Road advised to evacuate.

Two water tankers from Kamloops, 4  from Castlegar and one from Penticton fighting the fire earlier today and most likely until last light tonight using Penticton as a base.

Fire broke out around 3pm so it will be a long day for Willowbrook firefighters and Forestry crews.

Swan says the fire is still aggressive and moving in a southerly direction.  Fire damage has occurred on both sides of the road to White Lake.

One observer states there is not as much smoke in the sky visible in our valley.
