Nick Poznikoff appeared before Oliver Town Council Monday asking for a temporary use permit to expand the flea market in his building at the corner of Station Street and Co-op Avenue.
This would mean an expansion at the back – east side of the building with more parking provided.
The permit before council was for two years – council opting to change that granting the TUP for about 15 months until September 30, 2014.
Council had many concerns about the parking lot, parking and cars on the street and at the curb in the area.
Councillors also asked for greater by-law enforcement on the weekend with the ultimate goal of respect for signage and safety of traffic in this bottleneck area.
