Raymond Christian Goodman 1923 – 2013

On July 8th, long-time Oliver resident Raymond Christian Goodman
passed away peacefully at McKinney Place at the age of 89 years.

Raymond was predeceased by his father Chris, his mother Margaret and
grandson Richard Cooper. He will be lovingly remembered by his family including his wife Kathryn, daughter Suzanne (Randy) MacDonald; daughter Carol Goodman (Arthur Matthews) and son Ross Goodmansson (Carol). Grandchildren; Chrystoph, Eric and Kristen as well as great grandchildren Payton and Jude.

Raymond was a World War Two veteran, serving active duty in the Tank Corp.
He spent his working years with Dickson Motors, Carter Motors, and Gourmet Coffee.
Ray’s long standing memberships included the Masons and the Elks. He loved to golf and curl and his membership with Fairview Mountain Golf Club, and the Oliver Curling Club spanned many years.

His family would like to thank McKinney Place and his friends Harry Bray and Diane Johnson for all their help.

A cemetery service will be held on Sunday July 14 at 12:30 p.m. at the Scattering Garden of the Oliver Municipal Cemetery. A celebration of life for Ray will follow from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at the Oliver Elks lounge
