Parks and Recreation Manager
Oliver Parks and Recreation Society, located in the Okanagan Valley in the Southern Interior of BC, is seeking a proven professional to assume the role of Parks and Recreation Manager. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the successful candidate will be responsible for the management of strategic planning, development and delivery of programs, generation of revenue, management of financial resources and overseeing human resources.
The ideal candidate will bring an outstanding record of supervising the day-to-day affairs of a Parks and Recreation Department, and managing all facets of an operation including arenas, community centres and halls, pools, tennis courts, ball fields and various parks and amenities. In addition, the candidate will have a degree in Business Administration or Recreation Management from a recognized post-secondary institution supplemented by a minimum of five years’ of experience in a senior management/supervisory position, preferably in a Regional District or municipal environment.
