State the of art – sewer plant in Okanagan Falls unveiled today to a large crowd of local residents and visiting dignitaries from the Regional District.
Above Dan Albas, MP and Former Area ‘D’ Director Bill Schwarz open the curtain to see plaque on the concrete wall of the 12 million dollar facility. The plant is visible from Hwy 97 and is 2 km south of the Bridge on the Okanagan River. The new sewage treatment plant has the capacitiy to expand and look after new development and could take effluent from Kaleden and Heritage Hills. Ten years in the making to replace older plant near Cedar Village. Below water in a clarifier.
