The Community Foundation of the South Okanagan has launched a survey to gather community input for its 2nd Vital Signs Report to be published in October of this year.
The Vital Signs Report gathers statistical data and community input for a comprehensive report that covers 11 key issue areas facing communities. The report is led by the CFSO with the help of a dedicated group of volunteers on its community leadership team.
This is the first year the report will focus on all communities within the boundaries of the RDOS from Summerland to Osoyoos and throughout the Similkameen Valley to Princeton.
“The goal of the report is to “take the pulse” of the communities and provide citizens with a sense of where their community is at and what areas need to be addressed,” said Aaron McRann, Executive Director for the Community Foundation of the South Okanagan. “The report is an important discussion piece for our communities as it indicates issues that are facing our citizens,” added McRann.
The survey takes about six minutes to complete and asks questions on issue areas that affect the quality of life, such as:
Arts & Culture| Belonging & Leadership| Environment| Gap between Rich & Poor|
Getting started in our community| Health & Wellness| Housing | Learning | Safety| Work | Getting Around
The Vital Signs survey can found here: www.vitalsignssurvey.com. Individuals can also contact the Community Foundation office at 250-493-9311 or at admin@cfso.net to have a copy mailed to them.
The Community Foundation of the South Okanagan has served our region since 1991, working with donors to create lasting impact in the areas of greatest need for the communities we serve. Grants are distributed from income earned on investments, preserving the capital to ensure a perpetual stream of funds.
