A date has been picked by the Town of Oliver Council for a By-election to replace Linda Larson – elected May 14 to the position of Member of the Legislature.

The date favoured is Saturday September 21 for Oliver’s By-election

A lot has to happen in an 80 day window to make that possible.

The nomination period would be August 6 to 16th – campaign period to follow

Advance voting would take place September 11th

Note: A By-election is triggered by the resignation of a council member however councillors picked this date in an open meeting – Committee of the Whole Monday.
