There are 10 youth between the ages of 12 and 18 from Oliver scheduled to arrive in Victoria on Saturday, July 6 for summer training at Albert Head Cadet Summer Training Centre (CSTC). Nearly 400 youth will arrive that day from Royal Canadian Air Cadet Squadrons located in communities throughout British Columbia.
Over the busy summer period, I expect to capture a wide variety of still imagery, including cadets flying, practicing skills such as navigation and aircraft maintenance, and learning about aerospace, airport operations as well as aircraft manufacturing.
The Cadet Program is a national youth development program. Cadets are not members of the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF). The Cadet Program is neither a recruiting vehicle nor an indoctrination tool for a career in the CAF. Being a cadet is all about having fun, being challenged and developing transferrable life skills that will benefit young people in whatever career path they choose.
