The month of June is when many golf courses in BC conduct golfathons in an effort to raise funds for ALS research and treatment. These events involve golfers attempting to play as many 18 hole rounds of golf in a single day with funds being pledged for their efforts. It is currently underway today at where Fairview Mtn. Assistant Pro Brady Henderson and staff member Thierry Martine have been playing since before light at 4:28 this morning and are now on their EIGHTH 18 – hole round since starting.

Members of the public are invited to come up to the north patio of clubhouse from 6:00 pm on to join in the festivities and cheer the golfers as they pass by. There will be live musical entertainment, silent auction, appies and other activities until the golfers end and join the gathering.
